The five-time finalist noticed that both of the host broadcaster’s channels were showing Stefanos Tsitsipas take on Mikael Ymer and tweeted asking them to switch one channel to the 2021 and 2017 US Open champions doing battle.
He posted: “Come on channel 9 let’s get raducanu stephens on one the channels instead of 2x Rod Laver!”
Moments later, his wish was granted as Channel 9 began broadcasting from Margaret Court Arena.
Earlier, Murray’s countryman Raducanu had breezed through the first set 6-0 to take a commanding lead against 2017 US Open champion Stephens.
