Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta squares up to Tottenham's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as tempers flare

Tempers flared in Sunday’s north London derby as Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta squared up to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Arsenal and Spurs faced off in a pre-season friendly at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to continue preparation for the 2021/22 campaign.

The two Premier League sides were playing out a 0-0 stalemate and closely contested the first half.

In the 53rd minute, an interesting confrontation occurred between Arteta and Hojbjerg, much to the fans’ entertainment.

The Spurs midfielder chased a stray ball rolling towards the touchline and slid as he unsuccessfully attempted to keep it in play.

In the same phase of play, he narrowly missed the Arsenal boss, stood outside of his technical box.
