Arsenal loanee Dani Ceballos lays out 'clear' transfer plans upon Real Madrid return

1 min read

For Arsenal, midfield depth isn’t a strong suit of Mikel Arteta’s squad, but Ceballos’ recent performances haven’t merited his reported £50,000 weekly wage and permanent stay.

His exit will leave Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka as Arteta’s remaining central midfield options.

The Gunners are heavily linked with a move for Brighton & Hove Albion star Yves Bissouma, whilst Xhaka is reportedly in talks with AS Roma.

Ceballos would help provide depth, but it’s unlikely Arsenal will pay a fee for his services, and his heart is set on cementing a permanent stay somewhere soon.
