Arsenal now face double suspension issue for Southampton clash

Arsenal overcame a stern test to beat Leeds in a dramatic clash at Elland Road. The game was suspended for 40 minutes in the first half following a power cut at the stadium.

Bukayo Saka scored what turned out to be the winner for the visitors 10 minutes before half-time. Leeds were by far the better team in the second half but were unable to make their dominance count.

Patrick Bamford missed the penalty after Saliba’s handball, putting it wide of Aaron Ramsdale’s goal. Arsenal defender Gabriel was initially penalised for another penalty and sent off in stoppage time, but VAR overturned the decision to the delight of the Gunners.
