Call of Duty Vanguard’s first major content update is coming to a console near you.

As fans count down to the start of Season One, Activision is gearing up to release the Shipment map.

The fan-favourite map has a November 17 release date on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.

While there’s no official release time, Call of Duty updates often drop at 6pm UK time, so check back then for a possible download.

Alternatively, the new Call of Duty Vanguard update could drop at 5am GMT UK time on the morning of November 18. Express Online has contacted Activision for confirmation.

The news was announced by Activision in a recent Vanguard blog, where the game’s post-release roadmap was laid out in full.

“Call of Duty: Vanguard’s unparalleled content drop continues after launch with a few free special deliveries in the days leading up to Season One,” Activision explains.

“Headlining that batch of free content is Shipment, the classic frenetic Multiplayer experience re-fitted for Vanguard, currently scheduled for a November 17 arrival.

“Newcomers and veterans alike can ready up for a fresh take on the map that’s entertained Call of Duty fans for over a decade, providing all Vanguard players a chaotic playground for destruction.”

According to the latest reports, the new and improved Shipment map will feature destructible elements.

Call of Duty Vanguard fans can expect to find Shipment headlining a new 24/7 Playlist.

The build up to Season One will continue later this month, when the Last Days of Verdansk Warzone event kicks off.

Season One will begin in full just a few weeks later on December 2, both in Vanguard and Warzone.

The new season adds new maps and modes, new weapons and items, as well as new Zombies content.

In the meantime, Call of Duty fans have plenty to be getting on with, because Vanguard is stacked with content.

It all begins with the single-player campaign, which is titled ‘Birth of the Special Forces’.

“A Fight on All Fronts. End Project Phoenix and relive the heroic moments of Task Force One, a multinational group of heroes including Arthur Kingsley, Polina Petrova, Wade Jackson, Lucas Riggs, Richard Webb, and many others united in the fight against evil.”

The campaign launches alongside a robust multiplayer offering, which includes 20 maps. Fans will be able to participate in seven core game modes, plus the brand new Champion Hill mode.
