Camping holidays: Expert warns 'barbecues are a big no' ahead of weekend heatwave

London and Manchester are set to see highs of around 23 degrees celsius on Saturday alone, meanwhile, up in the North, Newcastle is expecting a sunny high of 19 and in Devon this figure is predicted to reach 20 degrees.

The UK’s national parks span Peak District, Lake District, Snowdonia, Dartmoor, Pembrokeshire Coast, North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Exmoor, Northumberland, Brecon Beacons, The Broads, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs, Cairngorms, the New Forest and South Down.

While these scenic locations are the ideal place to pitch a tent, one expert has warned certain summer weather behaviour is a “big no” when it comes to camping in these locations.
