Phillip hosted today’s episode of This Morning with Rochelle Humes, who has been filling in for Holly Willoughby during her absence from the show. 

This is the third week in a row that The Saturdays singer has filled in for Holly, who is off filming her new reality show. 

However, it is likely that Phillip will have to pull out from presenting This Morning for the rest of this week, which should prove to be a real shake-up to the show’s format. 

Holly was supposed to be off This Morning for two weeks, but given her absence today, the star could be staying away for slightly longer than planned.

Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice, 31, has revealed some exciting news that his 798,000 Instagram followers have been waiting for. The dancer, who won the coveted Glitterball trophy last year with Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, began his Instagram Story post by cheekily introducing his Strictly co-star, who he explained was his “date for the day”.

Giovanni appeared to be in a dance studio before he turned to his colleague and flirtatiously said: “Hi baby.”

It wasn’t long before Giovanni’s companion was unveiled to be none other than Strictly judge Anton Du Beke, 55, who joined in on the mischievous exchange by replying: “Hey baby!”

“It’s my date for the day,” the Italian dancer teased.

Anton chuckled before asking: “How you doing kid?”

Meanwhile, Giovanni recently spoke out on his instant “connection” with EastEnders actress Rose.

Rose became the first deaf contestant to win Strictly alongside Giovanni in 2021.

The duo beat off competition from John Whaite and Johannes Radebe in the grand finale to lift the trophy.

In an interview with The Sun, Giovanni revealed that his and Rose’s win wasn’t just about their impressive dance routines, but was also due to the close bond they had developed as a couple.

“This hypocritical monster continues to preach, smear, defame, demonise, insult everyone who doesn’t agree with him or do as he says, while he continues to do as he pleases.

“I hope he keeps it up because judging by the feedback he’s getting in comments and on social media, the more he lectures, the more people fight against it all.”

Piers previously blocked Carol on Twitter in 2020 when she described his stance on the COVID-19 pandemic “hysterical bulls**t”.

Revered folk artist Norma Waterson has died, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the English traditional music scene. The Hull-born musician was one of the founders of seminal folk group The Watersons in the 1960s, alongside her sister Lal, brother Mike, and cousin John Harrison.

Before her death on Sunday 30 January, Waterson was treated in hospital for pneumonia.

The musician’s daughter Eliza Carthya announced the sad news of her mother’s death via social media. 

Today on Facebook Eliza wrote: “Hello all. Not much to say about such monumental sadness, but mam passed away yesterday afternoon.

“Thinking of everyone who has supported and donated and just been there for us the last few weeks, the last few years, and through all of her triumphs and trials.

“Our only hope is that she is with Lal and Mike and her mum and dad now, being held and welcomed and finally without pain. More soon. We love you Mam. Going to bring you home as soon as we can…”

The children’s grandmother raised them, and the siblings remained close-knit as they embarked on their musical career.

The band greatly contributed to the resurrection of British folk music during the 1960s, first releasing their seminal album Frost and Fire: A Calendar of Ceremonial Folk Songs in 1965. 

Norma moved to the Caribbean island of Montserrat to work as a radio DJ when the group later split in 1965.

“Just want to help spread the awareness of hidden chronic illnesses. 

“I know we get so many comments oh you look fine, on the outside yes, but not the inside. Comments why do you push yourself? Well, I wouldn’t do anything in life if I spent the whole time worrying if I might get a flare up. 

“I’ve always said it won’t define me! To me, my condition is at it’s cruellest when it takes me away from my biggest passion, dancing!”

Amy went on to thank her fellow tour cast mates for giving her all the support she needs while battling her condition.

 

Sarah managed to fly through the round and admitted to Bradley most of her answers were guesses.

Matt Baker took a trip to Otter Farm on the Clinton Devon Estates in the latest edition of Countryfile. The BBC presenter spoke to Youngstock Manager Alice heading up the calving team but fans of the rural show took to social media to share their “disappointment” at one of the processes being implemented on the farm.

Alice showed Matt around the farm and introduced him to some newborn calves. 

“What time were these born?” Matt asked and Alice replied: “This one was born nine o’clock last night and the other two four o’clock this morning.”

“They’re doing very well but obviously not with mum,” Matt pointed out.

Alice explained: “Ideally we take them off as soon as possible.

“They’ll be in here for 14 weeks and then after that, they go outside and enjoy the sunshine on their backs,” she replied. 

Countryfile viewers took to Twitter to slam the process of taking calves away from their mothers.

Jane Ward tweeted: “Why on earth would you remove calves from their mums? Profit? Profit? Profit? #countryfile.”

Sarah Hutchison remarked: “Very disappointed to see #countryfile showcasing the practice of removing calves at birth. Calves should be with their mothers until weaning.”

The lovebirds recently tied the knot in September earlier last year in a stunning lochside ceremony.

Storm, who became engaged in 2020, decided to celebrate their marriage in style by hosting their wedding reception in Kerr’s parent’s house in Motherwell a few days after their private ceremony.
