Destiny 2 Xur location: Where is Xur this week and what is he selling?

4 mins read

The Destiny 2 Xur location has yet to be discovered, but it won’t be long before we have the full details from exploring Guardians.

The Agent of the Nine will be making his weekly stop today, Friday, July 16, and will be hanging around until July 20.

During this time, Xur will be available to track down and purchase items from, be it in a big tree or The Tower.

Guardians in North America will be waiting until late morning for their chance to track down Xur, and while Guardians in the UK will have the new collection of weapons available by the evening.

As mentioned above, Xur will be returning to a random location somewhere in the Destiny 2 world.

Last week, Xur could be found in Nessus at The Watchers Grave, offering a mix of items to buy with Legendary Shards.

This week’s Destiny Xur location will be revealed at 6pm BST across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.

For anyone who has forgotten, Legendary Shards used by Xur items are remnants of powerful items used to improve gear or trade for other items.

It should also be noted that Xur will be dropping items similar in power level to your character.

And another part of Xur that is new to the latest version of Destiny 2 is that he now drops Cipher Quests for free.

The Quest will reward you with an exotic Cipher, and last week included completing 21 Strikes or winning the same number of Crucible or Gambit matches.

Every week, Guardians can acquire one Exotic Engram using Legendary Shards that will decrypt as Exotics that aren’t already in your collection.

Last week, Xur was selling The Fighting Lion for 29 Legendary Shards, The Sixth Coyote for 23 Legendary Shards, Armamentarium Titan Chest piece for 23 Legendary Shards, and the Wings of Sacred Dawn for 23 Legendary Shards.

And as mentioned above, Xur won’t be the only event happening this week for Guardians to explore.

Trials of Osiris will be offering Crucible teams the chance at securing fresh weapons and items until the weekly reset.

This will mean stringing together wins, with the best rewards available for those who can put together wins, or push for a Flawless run.

The Lighthouse is the final stop for the best Guardians, and this usually includes unlocking an Adept weapon.

Last week, the Trials rewards included the following:

  • Three Wins: The Messenger Pulse Rifle
  • Five Wins: Arms
  • Seven Wins: Shayura’s Wrath SMG
  • Flawless: Sola’s Scar Adept Sword

Saint-14 is the full-time Trials of Osiris vendor who currently resides in the Tower Hangar with his pigeons and ship.

And visiting him will be worth it for those who can smash through the Crucible and score some wins as Saint’s inventory updates with Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.
