If people can’t see their area on the list they can use the checker on the gov.uk website.
So far the following areas which have received Cold Weather Payments include:
• Aboyne – 7,000 estimated eligible recipients
• Aviemore – 1,000 estimated eligible recipients
• Loch Glascarnoch – 2,000 estimated eligible recipients
• Braemar – 1,000 estimated eligible recipients
As a result of Braemas reporting cold temperatures over three seven-day periods, residents have been due a total of £75 in Cold Weather Payments so far this winter.
All payments are automatically sent to a recipient’s bank or building society account.
