They warned cars were often one of the “largest purchase someone may make” and owners should “have a say” in how long their items last.
They said: “This is a petition to stop the sale of E10 fuels in the UK.
“There is an [abundance] of studies which show that E10 fuel is a disaster waiting to happen to our hard-earned possessions, mainly our petrol cars.
“The fuel in question E10 absorbs more moisture than previous fuels and can rot/rust fuel tanks, fuel lines, seals, injector parts, valves and that’s only to name a few.”
