WARNING: This article contains full spoilers for Eternals.

Eternals has only just been released but the character introduced at the very end of the film has already started making waves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character, who is the brother of the mad titan Thanos, will surely be a notable figurehead in the series going forward.

Eros, otherwise known as Starfox, was introduced at the end of Eternals.

The character was played by One Direction star Harry Styles, who has most recently been bolstering his filmography.

On top of appearing in Dunkirk in 2017, Styles is working on two feature films including Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman.

Styles commented on joining the MCU in a new interview, saying: “I’m only in right at the very end. But who didn’t grow up wanting to be a superhero, you know?”

Although the 27-year-old was coy about his position in the movie, he was eager to praise his director, Chloe Zhao.

He said: “It was a great experience and I’m so grateful to have gotten to work with Chloé.” (Via Dazed)

Zhao seems to feel the exact same way, as she responded to his comments in kind.

She called Styles “very much a package deal”.

Salma Hayek also praised the 1D star, saying: “He arrived, and he was just like part of us, immediately.”

Deaf actor Lauren Ridloff agreed: “Chloé would say: ‘Cut!’ and every time she yelled, ‘cut’ the interpreter would have to run around and tap me on the shoulder.

“So after a couple times, Harry was just like: ‘Is it okay if I just tap you and cue you when we stop shooting?’ I was like: ‘Yeah, thank you!'” (Via Entertainment Weekly)

The future of Eros/Starfox and Styles in the MCU has not yet been announced, but it would be very surprising if he didn’t make further appearances going forward.

Considering Eros was such a big part of Thanos’ life, will he want to seek revenge on the death of his brother?

Or will Eros follow along with his comic book self and side with the Avengers?

Eternals is in cinemas now.
