Gary Lineker agrees with Piers Morgan on Max Verstappen's title win over Lewis Hamilton

“New F1 World Champion @Max33Verstappen’s Grand Prix win yesterday was thrillingly unpredictable, sensationally exciting, and also completely unfair,” Morgan wrote.

“@LewisHamilton was robbed by rule-bending officials who wanted to give us all a great dramatic TV moment. That’s not sport.”

Lineker was quick to get in on the action as he shared Morgan’s post and merely added: “Agreed.”

In the aftermath of the race, Mercedes had two protests rejected before expressing an intent to appeal. However, the Times claim they are now planning to scrap their appeal, meaning Verstappen’s title win will stand.

Latifi, meanwhile, apologised publicly for his role in deciding the title race after his crash set Verstappen up to claim the championship.
