For some, living in a hunted house is nothing short of a nightmare, for others it is extremely appealing. In a Halloween-themed joke, an estate agent has listed a ’haunted house’ for sale and they have already had an offer of £6.66 million in “blood money”.
He described the property as: “A ‘splendid’ detached house dating from the 12th Century with period features and set in fabulous private grounds.
“With an abundance of paranormal activity, headless phantoms, spectral figures, disembodied spirits and a sinister presence.
“Nerves of steel” are required for “The Open House” today.
Claire Hoban, who works at Thomas Hayton Winkley, admitted to CumbriaLive that the listing is a joke and will be online for “one day only”.
Despite the fun, the listing will be taken down after today as Claire admitted RightMove might not be too impressed with their prank.

It comes after having a ghost in your house can increase the value of a property by £48,000, according to a new study.
The experts at Inventorybase analysed 5 of the UK’s most haunted available to buy homes and the results showed a combined average maximum price of a haunted house is 18% higher than the same type of property located in the same area.
And it’s no surprise, because apparently 57 percent of adults in the UK would consider living in a property knowing it’s got an unpleasant history.
Those surveyed said they would not mind if their home would be known for being haunted or even the fact that someone was murdered there.
