Stain removal

If your headboard is stained ever so slightly, you’ll need to remove the stain with a special cleaning solution.

Jonathan said: “To make a cleaning solution for a stain on an upholstered fabric headboard, mix lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent.

“You will have the right amount of detergent when you see bubbles form in the water.

“Apply the solution to a cloth and work it into the stain, allow it to completely dry before vacuuming any residue – you can use a hairdryer to speed up the drying process too.”

If this doesn’t work, you can use fabric cleaner to get rid of the super tricky stains.

Jonathan said: “Make sure you test the fabric cleaner on an inconspicuous area of the headboard first to make sure that it won’t discolour the fabric.

“Once you have applied the fabric cleaner, allow it to dry before vacuuming again. You can also buy a quality fabric spray to leave your headboard smelling fresh.”
