It comes as an advisory committee for the FDA recently rejected Pfizer’s application to administer a third shot of its vaccine to the general population.

Instead, it limited its recommendation of a Pfizer booster shot to people aged 65 and older, as well as vulnerable people.

The panel’s decision dealt a blow to Joe Biden’s administration, who had announced plans to roll out booster shots for people who received the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine as of this week.
