Kremlin under attack: Petrol bomb hurled at Putin's HQ – angry Russian uprising erupts

A video posted on TikTok appears to show the figure throwing a homemade ‘Molotov cocktail’ at the Kremlin in Moscow, today, on Wednesday. Social media user @den_di1232 uploaded the video taken by a man inside a moving vehicle.

Footage shows the moment the device hits the walls of the fortified Government building.

Following this, small fires can be seen at the base of its walls.

Putin is understood to have lived in the Grand Kremlin Palace since last year.

It is historically the site at which the Russian leader also undergoes their business.

The man wielding the explosive has not been identified.

The video posted on social media has also been shared on local media outlets, according to the Star.

Given the positioning of the explosive launches on the outer walls of the Kremlin, the act was unlikely an attempt at assassination but a demonstration, presumably against the invasion of Ukraine.

Putin has, however, faced numerous assassination attempts in the past.
