Lewis Hamilton pays tribute to Prince Philip and backs F1 schedule change for funeral

Lewis Hamilton is aiming to become the most decorated driver in F1 history, overtaking Michael Schumacher for world titles, and has started the season well with victory after the opening round in Bahrain.

Hamilton and his team-mate Bottas set the pace on Friday practice, whilst the Red Bull of Max Verstappen was top of the timing screens in final practice on Saturday morning.

“The team worked very hard to understand what happened in the last race where we were weak and to see if we can try to tweak the car for a better set-up,” said Hamilton.

“I also think the track has come a little bit more in our direction.

” We started off with a really good set-up today, a few tweaks here and there but no major issues. So far, good pace from us this weekend.
