Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has spoken for the first time since netting a stunning goal in Saturday’s 5-0 rout against Watford. He has revealed what the visitors discussed in their Vicarage Road dressing room before making a major statement in the Premier League title race.
In his post-match interview, Salah said the Liverpool players emphasised the importance of a strong start against Watford.
The Reds started slowly in their 2-2 draw against Manchester City at Anfield last time out but corrected their wrongs at Vicarage Road.
He said: “We didn’t want to start like we did the City game, so we were talking in the dressing room that we need to start the game well. I think that’s what we did.”
“All goals were very important. Bobby did a great job today scored a hat-trick, congratulations to him. Sadio scored a good goal. All the goals [were] very important.
