An ongoing outage that has knocked Facebook and its giant social media platform offline is also causing issues in the world of Virtual Reality.
Oculus has confirmed that its core services have been badly affected by the server issues, leaving VR headset users unable to access their accounts.
The good news is that the company is aware of the problems and are looking to fix them. The big downside is that there is no ETA on when today’s issues will be resolved.
The latest message from Oculus reads: “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
From what has been shared so far, not only can gamers not access the Oculus app, but those who can are not able to play any that are installed.
Some are even reporting issues with finding their games, with fears that they might have permanently disappeared.
While these might be temporary issues for gamers today, we won’t know more about the lasting affects until Facebook servers are back online.
No ETA has been provided on this subject by Facebook, who posted this update earlier today on the current outage issues:
“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
