Tokyo Olympics 2020: GOLD and silver for Team GB BMX duo as Shriever goes undefeated

Bethany Shriever won gold in the BMX final after going the whole competition undefeated.

After her astonishing victory, Shriever said: “I can’t feel my legs.

“I’m over the moon.”

She added: “It just means so much. I’m overwhelmed.”

The 22-year-olds first-place finish followed shortly after her compatriot, Kye Whyte, received the silver medal just moments earlier.

Whyte, who is commonly known as the Prince of Peckham, picked up Britain’s first ever Olympic medal in the event.
