Tottenham have Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani to thank for landing transfer target

“I knew it was a big step in my career, so to get information and background on the league was very important. It was a decision that I didn’t hesitate in taking.”

Bentancur also revealed that playing in the Premier League is a dream come true, despite the fact he is yet to experience a win in England’s top-flight.

“It certainly has been a real dream of mine to play in this league. I used to watch English football and the Premier League as a kid growing up,” he said.

“I’m very happy to be here and to arrive at Tottenham, it’s a massive club. Things have been going really well. I’ve had the help of all of my team-mates and all the backroom staff, so I’m excited to get going.”
