Watch out Apple! Samsung gives you biggest reason yet to buy its Galaxy Watch 4

Like plenty of other retailers, Samsung is offering some big Black Friday 2021 discounts weeks in advance. And one of the offers available in the run-up to the post-Thanksgiving sale (which officially takes place on November 26) are savings across the Galaxy Watch 4 range. On the official Samsung website, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 makers have slashed prices of its latest line of smartwatches – which first launched towards the end of August – by up to £75.

Prices start from £199 for the entry-level Galaxy Watch 4. This 40mm wearable usually costs £249, and like all other Galaxy Watch 4 devices is Samsung’s first to measure body composition.

Using the new BioActive Sensor you can get information on fat percentage, skeletal muscle, body water and more in the space of just 15 seconds. The body composition tool is the flagship new feature of the Galaxy Watch 4, along with the move back to Google’s Wear OS – which opens Samsung’s latest smartwatch range up to a whole load of new apps.

If you want the flexibility of having a 4G smartwatch instead of a Wi-Fi and Cellular model, then the 4G Galaxy Watch 4 has also been reduced by £50 – from £289 to £239. Besides the Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung has also cut the price of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

Both wearables have plenty in common with them powered by Wear OS 3 and Samsung’s One UI Watch 3, running on a Exynos W920 5nm chip and featuring 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

The Galaxy Watch 4 and Classic also both have the same sensors that offer the same features on board.

But it’s on the outside where the main differences are apparent – with the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic having a more chunkier design plus a rotating bezel, which will appeal to fans of classic divers style watches.

The Galaxy Watch 4 also comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes.

And if you like the sound of the Classic, the good news is this line has received the biggest price cut in Samsung’s early Black Friday savings.

Prices for the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic have been cut by £75, with the entry-level 42mm model reduced from £349 to £274.

The 46mm Wi-Fi model has also had its price cut from £369 to £294, while for the 4G wearables it’s £314 and £334 for the 42mm and 46mm models respectively.

If you like the sound of this money-saving deal then you only have a few weeks left to claim the offer. The Black Friday Galaxy Watch 4 promotion ends on November 30.

Samsung also offers monthly payments on its website for certain Watch 4 lines, so you don’t have to pay for your shiny new smartwatch all in one go.

Prices start from just £7.20 per month for 36 months or £11.21 for 24 months. Across the course of this period, you’ll also pay zero percent APR, making it an extremely appealing way to purchase a new smartwatch in bite-sized chunks.
