How on the heels of his spectacular win at Bellator 257 last month, British welterweight star Paul “Semtex” Daley has received his next assignment, with the Nottingham knockout set to take on top welterweight contender Jason Jackson in the co-main event of Bellator 260 on Friday, June 11.
Daley, whose last appearance saw him score a spectacular come-from-behind knockout of Sabah Homasi at Bellator 257 in April, will take on Florida-based Jamaican Jackson in a 175-pound contract weight bout.
The bout will take place at Bellator’s regular home during the pandemic, the Fightsphere at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville Connecticut.
A longtime welterweight contender, firstly in the UFC, then in Bellator, Daley’s remarkable longevity and penchant for spectacular knockouts has made him must-see TV whenever he sets foot inside the cage.
And, after opting to continue his career outside of Bellator’s 170-pound welterweight division, instead operating at a more physically comfortable 175 pounds, Daley hopes to continue scoring big fights and big finishes as one of Bellator’s most spectacular knockout artists.

His next bout comes against Jackson, who trains out of the respected Sanford MMA gym in Florida.
Jackson, who has a record of 14-4, is riding a four-fight winning streak, following a quartet of decision victories over Kiichi Kunimoto, Jordan Mein, Benson Henderson and Neiman Gracie.
Jackson’s form puts him arguably as little as one win away from a shot at the Bellator welterweight title.
And victory over Daley could be just the ticket for Jackson, who has looked outstanding ever since his split-decision loss to Ed Ruth on his Bellator debut at Bellator 231 back in 2019.
Daley vs. Jackson will serve as the co-main event of Bellator 260, which will be headlined by a welterweight title fight between defending champion Douglas Lima and undefeated Ukrainian challenger Yaroslav Amosov.
Amosov heads into his title opportunity riding the longest active win streak anywhere across MMA’s major organizations.
The Ukrainian boasts a perfect 25-0 record, and will look to continue his unblemished career by dethroning Brazil’s Lima (32-8), whose scrambling ability on the mat is backed up with legitimate knockout power on the feet.
Also on the card is a featherweight clash between rising 145-pound prospect Tywan Claxton and undefeated newcomer Justin Gonzalez.
