Bungie is winning plaudits for its storytelling during Destiny 2 Season 14, and there are plenty of weekly events to look forward to on top.
Guardians will soon have access to the latest rewards and loot, and the big question will be what exactly Xur will be selling for Legendary Shards.
It’s always a mixed bag, and some weeks can include a great lineup for gamers looking for the perfect weapon to take on Raids and Nightfalls.
And with the Agent of Nine set to arrive today, all of these questions will be answered very soon.
Guardians will be waiting until the late morning in North America and evening time in the UK to discover exactly where Xur and he is selling.
And even then, gamers will have to sweep the various Destiny locations and maps to find out where Xur is.
Last week saw Xur turn up in the Nessus, hanging around the Watchers Grave.
To find him, Guardians had to head in a straight line until reaching the big tree with the red leaves and head up the path winding around it toward the first branch.
And while the Destiny team like to make the Agent of the Nine easy to find during big events – like the launch of the Vault of Glass – this week could see Xur drop somewhere a little more exotic.
So don’t expect Xur to be popping up in the Hangar on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
As mentioned above, the return of Xur will allow gamers to trade Legendary Shards for exotics, but only for a short period.
The Destiny 2 Xur location from June 11 until June 15 will be revealed at 6pm BST, and it won’t take long for Guardians to start hunting the Agent of the Nine down.
All the items will be available until the weekly reset is completed and all rituals are wiped.
Last week, Xur was selling Hard Light for 29 Legendary Shards, Young Ahamkara’s Spine for 23 Legendary Shards, Crest of Alpha Lupi for 23 Legendary Shards, and Eye of Another World for 23 Legendary Shards.
Every week, Guardians can acquire one Exotic Engram using Legendary Shards that will decrypt as Exotics that aren’t already in your collection.
And the return of the Xur isn’t the only big event for Guardians to track this week.
Trials of Osiris will be back in play around the same time Xur returns on June 10. And Guardians still have plenty of time to enjoy the Iron Banner, with Bungie confirming last week:
“Things might feel a little different, as we released a new round of Stasis tuning earlier this morning. If you’re aiming to get a little higher in the Pinnacle Power band, make sure to complete some Iron Banner bounties as they’ll provide Pinnacle-powered rewards.
“Last Iron Banner, the Riiswalker Shotgun and Archon’s Thunder Machine Gun were introduced through a Seasonal quest. We quickly identified an issue where these new tools of destruction weren’t available through alternate means. If you’ve been holding tokens for future loot, it’s almost time to sell. I could make a joke about diamond hands here, but I think you’ve already connected those dots.”
