Expats say Benidorm is ‘a ghost town’ despite Spain opening its borders today

“I would say there are only 20 to 30 people at the beaches of Benidorm at the moment,” she explained.

However, and according to The Telegraph, up to 100,000 Britons are expected to fly to Spain this week.

Benidorm has currently the lowest infection rate of all Spain, with a rate of only 29 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Regarding the Covid restrictions in the beach town, Diane explained that they are not too bad.
