What is the plot of Dear Evan Hansen?
Much like the stage show, the film follows a young man with social anxiety, who struggles to make friends and be part of his community.
When tragedy strikes a family with whom Evan has started to form connections, he tells a terrible lie in order to maintain his place with them.
Guilt begins to take over him as the film unfolds, with Ben’s powerful performance showing a young man on the brink.
